Franklin Templeton Investments? I am new to investing and have been advised that the Mutual Discovery Fund, Templeton Growth, Mutual Shares, and Income funds are best for me. Besides them, what else would be better to invest in with less fees and better returns with less or reasonable risk? What else if I desire no stock market investing?
HELP!How do I close a Franklin Templeton Investment Fund account? I want to get my money out of an account what do I have to do and what documents do I have to have?
Do US investments cause starvation and environmental damage? I just saw a Franklin Templeton Investments commercial that showed a peasant woman walking through a traditional Asian market. The commerical suggests that by investing through this company, you can help transform her life so that she can walk through a western style grocery store. I was appalled by the frozen foods section and the wall-to-wall plastic packaging. This is very bad for the world's environment. It's also bad for most of the people in those countries who will not be able to afford food in these affluent grocery stores. American investments overseas can lead to higher GNP, but it has also inevitably leds to higher rates of starvation. Thanks NBC for bringing the French Open to TV, however, has anyone at Franklin Templeton Investments thought throught the consequences of their globalization efforts? I'm no Noam Chomsky, but the totalitarian goverments supporting globalization enrich an elite while ignoring the needs of the population. Look at Haiti. http://www.chomsky.info/debates/20000516.htm http://www.chomsky.info/articles/20040309.htm http://www.leftwatch.com/archives/years/2004/000014.html Please take your head out of an economics text book and look into a history text book. The powerful have exploited the weak every time. The US tends to support exploitive rather than progressive governments. http://www.leftwatch.com/archives/years/2001/000143.html
I took $400 out of my Franklin Templeton Growth Fund last year. How to I report this on my taxes? It says to "Enter a description of the investment property that was sold" What should I do? Do I put "Sale of stock (short-term gain)" ? Thanks!
Can we move US Savings Bonds from my CHILD's name into a 529 Plan? The 529 plan (NJBest) is in the parent's name for the benefit of the child, managed by Franklin Templeton Investments. The child just started college this year, and we didn't realize the disadvantage of the ownership, for the FAFSA, until recently.
I have lost 5,000.00 in the past few months with our usually rock solid firm, Franklin Templeton? Our portfolio is diversified for a long term gain, but we are in financial chrisis and are having to re-think our investment strategy. We are thinking of switching from the global basket type to the fixed, which would yeild small dividends quarterly for fear of losing it all. We are toying with e-trading but know how risky that can be. Any thoughts on this? Thanks
Kothari pioneer mutual fund? Is the kothari pioneer mutual fund still into existence? or is it taken over by Franklin templeton investments?
if i been investing 300 month in mutual funds and Roth IRAs for the last 2 years, can I lower the amount? I am going to be getting out of my job in February and I need to lower my amount that I put into the investing each month. Do I just talk to my financial planner and he can take care of that. Or anre there penalization fees? I just need to lower it for a while until I get a different job or get some other similar income. Ive done this through First Command, and they been investing my money through Pioneer Investments and Franklin templeton.

Personal Finance - Someone please help me formulate a proper investment strategy!!? HEy will someone suggest a proper investment policy for someone like me who has started working only about 2 months ago....i can invest upto 6K every month....but intend to take a break from work for about 2 years to finish my masters... Trying to help dad in financing his dream home is another objective...which would call for a loan of about 5-8 Lacs and is hence a purely ambitious one considering the present scenario.... Ive been doing some research on this as well...Someone recommended Franklin Templeton SIP to start with but i thought why not diversify...I can take some risks wrt the investments i make....my priorities are mainly long term but i can take a few risks too... I am pretty amateur to all this so maynot know all the jargons...i hope ppl can still understand what i intend to say.... I also want to know how much returns can i expect from the various offerings currently available.... Hope someone would help me out with this.... Thanks in advance, Rajit

How should I check on taxes for my son's mutual fund? When my son was born, i started a fund for him with franklin templeton growth fund. i had the understanding that it grew tax free because ANY and ALL interest and gains were just re-invested without me ever seeing it. I only put in about $50 a monty for about 3 yrs. the account is now worth about $4000. The "capital gains" per year evidently are around $150-$200. I recently became more interested in investments. I have never claimed it but as I'm reading into the tax laws about investments, I'm beginning to think that I need to claim these gains each year as little as they are. I haven't in 10 yrs :-0 Should I have a tax person check into it for me so I can pay back taxes and penalties? or am I just getting too excited over nothing? any advice will be helpful. thanks in advance just as a side note, the account is in his name and I am the "custodian" if I remember right.
Mutual Fund Questions? Hello, I recently open an IRA Roth Account (with Chase bank) linked to Brokerage account so I can invest in the FFALX mutual fund (franklin templeton). You only make money out of Mutual Fund at the end of year when dividends are paid and when you sell your share if price per share is higher than when you bought it? How else can you make money out of Mutual Funds? Do you think I selected a good company (Franklin Templeton) or should i have gone with another investment company? Since I'm only able to put in 5,000 into my IRA account is there any other way to invest ? What company do you recommend?
